Skipton Town Hall is a Grade II-listed cultural and community venue located on High Street in the centre of Skipton. Built in 1862 and subsequently enlarged and altered, the building has a long history as a public meeting and entertainment space. A major redevelopment and restoration programme transformed it into a modern multi-arts and heritage hub while retaining the character of its historic architecture. Today, Skipton Town Hall incorporates the historic Concert Hall, Craven Museum, an Exhibition Gallery, Visitor Centre, Education Room, The Hub and the Roebuck Rooms. The venue is available for private and organisational hire and can accommodate a broad range of activities including weddings, conferences, performances, celebrations, meetings, lectures, workshops, training and community events. The Concert Hall is the principal event space and contains moveable raked seating, moveable staging, a professional sound and lighting rig and a large projection screen. It can therefore be configured for different types of events rather than operating solely as a theatre. Smaller spaces provide options for workshops, training, meetings, dressing rooms and breakout activities. The Hub can also be combined with the Concert Hall as a bar or dining area for larger events. The venue has a fully equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi, AV equipment and extensive accessibility facilities.
