Set within the 30,000-acre Bolton Abbey Estate in the Yorkshire Dales, we offer a distinctive country-house setting for weddings, corporate gatherings, celebrations and countryside escapes. At The Devonshire Arms Hotel, we combine traditional character with comfortable accommodation, locally sourced dining and access to the beautiful surrounding estate. Our event spaces range from intimate rooms for smaller meetings and celebrations to the Cavendish Room, our largest dedicated event space, which features a private bar, built-in dance floor and access to the Kitchen Garden grounds. We can host weddings from intimate celebrations through to larger gatherings, with the hotel offering wedding arrangements for up to 120 guests. For corporate events, our meeting rooms provide flexible layouts for meetings, conferences, training and away days, with screens, projectors and flipcharts available. We also offer exclusive-use experiences, giving groups the opportunity to enjoy our hotel and its facilities privately within the stunning Yorkshire Dales setting.
The Hartington Room is our bright, contemporary meeting and event space, suitable for intimate meetings, celebrations and wedding gatherings. It accommodates up to 20 guests on one large oval table and can interconnect with the Barden Room when additional space is required.
The Barden Room is our light and intimate space, ideal for smaller meetings, celebrations and private gatherings. It accommodates up to 10 guests for a banquet or boardroom arrangement and can interconnect with the Hartington Room.
The Cavendish Room is our largest dedicated event space, featuring a panelled interior, built-in dance floor, private bar and exclusive access to the Kitchen Garden grounds. It accommodates up to 90 guests for a banquet or theatre-style event and up to 120 evening wedding guests.
The Clifford Room is our classic, characterful room featuring antiques and chandeliers, creating an elegant setting for intimate meetings, celebrations and wedding events. It can accommodate up to 30 guests in cabaret, reception or theatre-style arrangements.
Our Outdoor Ceremonies take place in the Italian Garden or on the rear lawn, providing a picturesque Yorkshire Dales setting with views towards Beamsley Beacon and the surrounding countryside. Both locations are licensed for outdoor wedding ceremonies.
