The Cairn Hotel is a large Victorian hotel and established conference and events venue situated on Ripon Road in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. We retain many of our original Victorian features while providing modern accommodation, meeting facilities and professional event services. Our location is approximately a five-minute walk from Harrogate town centre, with convenient access from the M1, A1 and M62. We offer 135 en-suite bedrooms across classic, superior, family and four-poster categories. Our events operation includes six function rooms, providing flexible options ranging from small meetings for around four people to large conventions of approximately 400 attendees. We are particularly well suited to corporate conferences, meetings, exhibitions, training sessions, product launches, AGMs, interviews, client entertainment and weddings. Our conference facilities offer flexible room layouts, catering and dedicated event support to help organisers deliver a wide range of events. Our Promenade Suite and Windsor Suite provide our principal large-event spaces, while the Mountbatten, Duchy, Edward and James rooms offer progressively smaller settings for meetings and private functions. We also provide extensive grounds, free parking, restaurant and lounge/bar facilities, as well as outdoor dining areas. With our central Harrogate location, substantial accommodation, flexible meeting rooms and large-scale conference capacity, we provide a versatile setting for conferences, weddings, corporate events, exhibitions and private functions.
The Windsor Suite is one of the Cairn's largest event spaces. Current venue listings give a maximum of 400 reception, with approximately 250–350 theatre capacity depending on the configuration/source. It is suitable for conferences, weddings, large dinners and receptions.
The Promenade Suite is another major event room and is notable for having a large sprung dance floor. Published capacities reach 400 reception, with theatre capacity reported between 350 and 400 depending on the source.
The Mountbatten Room provides a medium-to-large event space. Published figures give approximately 150–180 theatre capacity and up to 150 reception/banquet, depending on configuration.
The Edward Room is one of the hotel's smaller meeting spaces, with published capacity of approximately 35 theatre and 30 reception/banquet.
The Duchy Room is designed for smaller conferences, meetings, training sessions and private functions. Published capacities reach approximately 80 theatre/reception, depending on the layout.
The James Room has essentially the same published capacity as the Edward Room, with approximately 35 theatre and 30 reception/banquet.
