Herrington Country Park is a 150-hectare outdoor event destination in Sunderland, located at the foot of the Grade I-listed Penshaw Monument. It has also hosted Radio 1's Big Weekend and continues to be used for major festival programming and outdoor cinema. This is the designated large grass event area on the eastern side of Herrington Country Park. It provides additional outdoor capacity for events requiring a substantial open footprint.
