The Lighterman

At The Lighterman, we offer a contemporary dining and event venue in the heart of King’s Cross, overlooking Granary Square and Regent’s Canal. Our three-floor venue combines modern British-European food with stylish interiors, waterside views and several indoor and outdoor spaces. We welcome guests for relaxed group dining, business lunches, corporate gatherings, birthday celebrations and private parties. Our ground-floor bar provides a lively setting for informal drinks and group meals, while our Canalside Bar and Terrace offers an attractive waterside location for receptions and social events. On the first floor, we have a light-filled dining room with floor-to-ceiling glass and a wraparound terrace overlooking the square and canal. We can also accommodate larger occasions through exclusive venue hire, with food and drinks packages tailored to different event requirements. Our team works with organisers to discuss suitable layouts, menus and booking arrangements. Whether guests are joining us for a casual meal or a larger celebration, we provide a flexible setting with the atmosphere of a contemporary canalside pub.
