Behind The Bike Shed is our distinctive event space in the heart of Shoreditch, London, located at 384 Old Street. We occupy two beautifully redeveloped Victorian railway arches, Arch 3 and Arch 4, supported by an outdoor yard and a small mezzanine above Arch 4. Our spaces retain the character of the original railway architecture, including exposed brickwork, while giving clients a contemporary and flexible environment for events. We offer our arches individually or together, with interconnecting doors allowing guests to move easily between the spaces. Our facilities include installed AV and lighting equipment, professional rigging, under-floor heating, industrial concrete flooring, three-phase power and water access points. We welcome a wide variety of events, including company conferences, product launches, brand activations, music events, private parties and weddings. We are also part of the wider Bike Shed Moto Co., giving event guests access to a distinctive Shoreditch destination centred around motorcycle culture, hospitality, dining and entertainment.
Arch 3 is a 1,680 sq ft of clear square event space with a flexible layout. We accommodate up to 200 people standing or 180 in theatre style, while our professional rigging and full AV system support conferences, launches and live events.
Arch 4 is our larger 2,200 sq ft event space, giving us a flexible blank canvas for major events. We accommodate up to 200 guests standing or in theatre style, with a small mezzanine that can serve as a production or AV control room.
Our 1,000 sq ft Yard provides outdoor space alongside Arch 3 and Arch 4. With Arch 3 alone, we provide the area beneath the arch overhang; when both arches are hired, guests have access to the full yard outside the two event spaces.
Our Lounge provides a smaller hospitality setting within Bike Shed Moto Co. We accommodate up to 50 people and offer the space as a whole on a minimum-spend basis, making it suitable for more intimate gatherings and private hospitality.
