Middlesbrough Empire

Opened in 1897, the Middlesbrough Empire gives us a historic entertainment setting with original character alongside facilities for modern events. We occupy three floors dedicated to music, entertainment and events, with our main hall featuring high ceilings, a stage, balconies and VIP boxes. Beyond the main hall, we have five varied-sized rooms designed to provide flexibility for different event requirements. Our event hire service can include exclusive use of the venue, AV and technical equipment, DJ services and a full lighting system. We also have an experienced Event Manager who can support organisers throughout the booking process and event. Our venue hosts live music, performances, club nights, parties and other entertainment experiences, while our current programme includes events across different styles and formats. We also provide accessible viewing arrangements and accessible toilets. Located on Corporation Road in Middlesbrough, we combine historic surroundings, adaptable spaces and entertainment facilities for private and organised events.
