Middlesbrough Town Hall is a landmark Victorian civic building located on Albert Road in the heart of Middlesbrough. It has served as an important cultural and civic venue for more than 130 years and combines historic architecture with modern event and performance facilities. Today it hosts music, comedy, theatre, family entertainment and a wide variety of private and commercial events. The venue is particularly versatile because it contains several substantially different spaces. The Main Hall is the principal performance and large-event space, with current official information giving a capacity of up to 1,151 theatre-style. It has removable stalls seating, making it suitable for exhibitions, talks and conferences as well as performances. The Crypt provides a separate, flexible event environment beneath the Main Hall and can accommodate up to 400 theatre-style, 350 cabaret-style or 250 conference-style guests. The Courtroom accommodates 110, while the Old Fire Station accommodates up to 80. The building is also available for weddings, receptions, conferences, filming and television production. The council's commercial team can arrange individual-room or whole-building hire.

The Crypt is a flexible event space beneath the Town Hall's main auditorium. It has a removable steel-deck stage and can operate independently or in conjunction with other Town Hall rooms. Its flexible layouts make it suitable for conferences, receptions, performances, dinners, workshops and private events.
The historic Courtroom is an intimate event and meeting space within Middlesbrough Town Hall. It retains its civic character while providing a practical setting for talks, conferences, workshops and wedding ceremonies. The Old Fire Station is a flexible room suitable for both formal and informal meetings, networking and dining. It has direct access to the Town Hall foyer and can accommodate up to 80 attendees in different configurations. It is also available for wedding receptions and other private functions.
