Banana Village Eco Retreat is a traditional African-style retreat located in Kitala along Nalugala Road, off Garuga Road in Entebbe. The property is built around grass-thatched bandas and low-rise traditional structures distributed through an extensive garden beneath mature trees, giving the venue a distinctly village-inspired character rather than a conventional hotel layout. The setting incorporates natural landscaping, outdoor recreation areas, an on-site restaurant and bar, an outdoor swimming pool with a separate shallow children's pool, and accommodation facilities. The property has been established as a hospitality and retreat destination since the 1990s and remains officially classified as a two-star vacation hotel by the Uganda Tourism Board. Its event offering is built around both indoor and outdoor use. The conference facility provides a compact setting for smaller formal meetings, while an open-air hut extends the venue's traditional architectural character into a dedicated function space. The mature gardens provide the largest event area, with separate lower and upper sections that can accommodate different event scales. The open-air hut is a smaller function space that carries the retreat's traditional architectural style into an event setting. The gardens form the largest outdoor event area at Banana Village Eco Retreat, extending across the property's mature, landscaped grounds beneath established tree cover. The event grounds incorporate both lower and upper garden sections, allowing the space to accommodate different event layouts and guest volumes while retaining the retreat's natural, traditional character. The lower section provides the larger event footprint, with capacity for up to 400 guests, while the upper section can accommodate up to 200 guests as part of the overall garden facility. The grounds are suitable for arranging guest seating, dining and buffet service, reception areas, entertainment and other event installations depending on the requirements of the function.
