Leighton House is the former home and studio of Victorian artist Frederic, Lord Leighton, and is now a historic house museum managed by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Our venue combines remarkable Victorian architecture and decorative art with distinctive spaces for private events, including the celebrated Arab Hall, the artist’s painting studio and a landscaped garden. The house is known for its intricate tilework, rich colours, mosaics and the distinctive interiors that reflect Leighton’s artistic interests and travels. Our spaces provide an unusual setting for receptions, private dining, concerts, weddings, corporate gatherings and filming or photography. We can accommodate up to 150 guests for an exclusive standing reception across the house, while smaller events can take place in the studio, Arab Hall, Dining Room or Wolfson Garden Room. We work with our exclusive catering partner, Bovingdons, to provide food and drink for events, and our events team can assist with planning and room arrangements. The venue also offers step-free access to the building and a garden that can be incorporated into selected events, weather permitting
