Barnsley College – Conference & Events represents our meeting and conference facilities available across our business-focused campus environments, with our Barnsley College Business Centre within the SciTech Digital Innovation Hub being the clearest currently documented facility. Located on Falcon Street in Barnsley, our Business Centre has been refurbished to provide modern business accommodation and collaboration facilities and was developed in partnership with the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce. Our Business Centre contains five incubation pods, a maker space for meetings and a large conference room. Our facilities are particularly suited to business meetings, employer engagement, workshops, networking, training and smaller professional events rather than large-scale exhibitions or banquets. The wider SciTech Digital Innovation Hub has also been described as containing a smart conference suite designed to support business and professional events.
Situated at the flagship Church Street campus, this unique setting is integrated into the historically preserved Art Deco architecture. This premier roof-top conference room provides a sophisticated backdrop for corporate networking, premium product launches, and VIP client presentations, combining modern corporate tech with striking views.
This modern corporate space accommodates up to 42 delegates in a comfortable cabaret-style layout. It features dual interactive TV screens for professional connectivity and includes an automated hot water urn for complimentary refreshments. Located centrally, it is a fully accessible environment tailored for private business workshops and seminars.
The Maker Space is a flexible facility within the Barnsley College Business Centre designed to support meetings and collaborative business activity. Its inclusion within the Business Centre makes it potentially useful for workshops, collaborative sessions and innovation-focused meetings, although the College does not publish a separate event capacity or detailed external-hire specification.
