A vast event destination set across the historic Great Yorkshire Showground, this venue brings together modern indoor facilities and expansive outdoor space in the heart of North Yorkshire. Following the 2025 creation of the Great Yorkshire Events Centre identity, The Halls, The Pavilions and The Grounds now operate as one destination, giving organisers access to an exceptionally broad range of event possibilities. Around 8,500m² of flexible indoor space is complemented by approximately 250 acres of outdoor Showground space. Hall 1 provides 4,320m² and can accommodate up to 2,500 guests theatre-style, while Hall 2 offers 1,950m² with capacity for up to 1,000. Combining the two creates approximately 6,270m² of uninterrupted indoor event space for major exhibitions and large-scale gatherings. Our facilities are suited to exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, gala dinners, awards ceremonies, corporate events, automotive showcases, weddings, product launches, team-building activities, filming and outdoor events. Extensive parking, loading facilities, organiser offices and catering infrastructure support complex and multi-day productions. Owned by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, the centre also has a wider purpose. Profits from our commercial events contribute towards charitable work supporting farming, food, education and the countryside. Hall 1 is the largest current indoor event space at the Great Yorkshire Events Centre. It is a modern, pillar-free hall designed for major conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, awards ceremonies, product launches and entertainment events. It has a large entrance foyer, organiser offices, seminar room, café and kitchen facilities. Large windows provide natural light, while its covered terrace overlooks Crimple Valley.
Hall 2 is the second principal indoor event hall and provides a more compact alternative to Hall 1 while still supporting substantial conferences, exhibitions and dinners. The space has a separate entrance foyer, organiser offices and café facilities, with views towards the surrounding valley. Ground-level access, dedicated loading facilities, accessible toilets and a Changing Places facility support practical event operations.
The Grounds span 250 acres of beautifully maintained, versatile outdoor space on the historic Great Yorkshire Showground. Featuring a 4,000-seat main grandstand ring, this area is built to accommodate massive public festivals, agricultural showcases, automotive exhibitions, and large-scale team-building events under the open sky.
