Village Underground is our distinctive event and cultural venue in the heart of Shoreditch, East London. We occupy a renovated Victorian warehouse that has been transformed into a flexible, pillar-free event space while retaining its original industrial character and exposed brickwork. Our venue provides approximately 5,000 sq ft of space with natural daylight, a blank-canvas layout and professional sound and lighting facilities. We welcome a wide variety of events, from brand activations, product launches and fashion shows to conferences, weddings, receptions, private parties, filming and live performances. We have been part of East London’s cultural scene since opening in 2007, and our venue has developed a strong connection with live music, club culture and creative events. We also offer external branding opportunities, loading facilities, Wi-Fi, a kitchen, green room and accessible facilities. Our experienced events team works with organisers to transform our space around their individual requirements, while commercial event revenue supports our wider artistic and community programming.
Our Main Venue is a 5,000 sq ft, pillar-free warehouse space with natural daylight, exposed Victorian brickwork and a flexible blank-canvas layout. We can transform it for conferences, launches, receptions, weddings, concerts, parties and other large-scale events.
The open-air terrace sits directly above the main warehouse along the old railway viaduct. This sunny outdoor space features a fully operational bar, casual seating, and direct entry into the iconic, graffiti-covered Jubilee line tube carriages.
