We are the Natural History Museum in South Kensington, one of London’s most distinctive event destinations. Our spectacular setting combines historic architecture, remarkable galleries, contemporary spaces and unique natural-history collections to create memorable occasions. From the grandeur of Hintze Hall, with its soaring arches, magnificent staircase and iconic blue whale, to the contemporary Earth Hall beneath our giant globe, we offer spaces for both intimate gatherings and large-scale celebrations. Our venue can accommodate everything from private dinners and wedding ceremonies to corporate events, Christmas parties, summer celebrations, awards ceremonies and fashion shows. We offer exclusive evening hire and can provide combinations of our spaces to suit different event requirements. Our experienced venue-hire team works closely with organisers throughout the planning process, while our approved suppliers provide catering, production, sound, lighting and décor. We also offer opportunities to incorporate exhibitions and museum experiences into private events, giving our guests an event setting that is both distinctive and unforgettable.
Hintze Hall is our most iconic event space, featuring soaring Romanesque arches, a magnificent stone staircase and our famous blue whale. We accommodate up to 1,200 standing guests, 650 for dinner and 450 for dinner and dancing.
Earth Hall gives our guests a spectacular setting beneath a giant Earth sculpture, with Sophie the Stegosaurus watching over the space. We accommodate up to 400 standing guests or 200 for dinner and dancing.
Our Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition provides guests with a private viewing of extraordinary nature photography. Available from October to July, we accommodate up to 300 standing guests in this distinctive exhibition setting.
Earth’s Treasury is our intimate and elegant gallery, surrounded by displays of diamonds, precious stones, gold nuggets and other remarkable specimens. We accommodate up to 200 guests for a reception or 45 for dinner.
Our Garden Kitchen brings the outdoors inside with natural daylight and a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Guests can also move into our beautiful gardens, while we accommodate up to 300 for receptions and 100 for dinner or dinner dancing.
Our Darwin Centre and Courtyard combine a bright contemporary atrium with a peaceful outdoor setting. We accommodate up to 350 guests for a reception and 150 for dinner, creating a flexible space for celebrations and formal events.

The Anning Rooms are tucked away in our turrets and offer a charming, intimate setting surrounded by a cabinet of curiosities. We provide spectacular views across London and can accommodate up to 20 guests for a ceremony.
