Milton Hall is a historic community and events venue situated on Fitzwilliam Street in Elsecar, Barnsley. The building is a Grade II listed former market hall dating from 1870. It was later renovated in 1931 to function as a concert hall and assembly rooms, giving it a long-standing connection with community gatherings, performances and social events. Today, Milton Hall operates as a flexible community and private-hire venue. Its principal facility is a large hall with a stage, allowing it to accommodate a broad range of activities including wedding receptions, birthday parties, dances, concerts, discos, social functions, meetings, training sessions and fitness or wellbeing classes. Our venue also makes its facilities available for private parties and one-off events. Our hall benefits from on-site parking and free Wi-Fi. Its historic character and stage make it particularly suitable for events requiring a traditional community-hall atmosphere rather than the more corporate environment of a hotel conference centre.
The Main Hall is Milton Hall's principal event space and features a permanent stage.
