North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC)

We are the North East Business and Innovation Centre, a business-focused venue based at Wearfield, Enterprise Park East in Sunderland. Our 14-acre site provides a professional environment for businesses, entrepreneurs and organisations, combining flexible workspace, business support and meeting facilities. We offer four currently listed meeting rooms, ranging from intimate four-person spaces to our 75-capacity Thompson Suite, making us suitable for meetings, workshops, training sessions, presentations, conferences and networking activities. Our rooms are equipped with AV technology and Wi-Fi, while our onsite IT team can provide technical assistance. We also provide meet-and-greet reception services, catering options, café facilities, free parking and accessible facilities. Our location is approximately two miles from Sunderland city centre and close to the A19, making us accessible from Durham, Newcastle, Washington and Teesside. We also host regular business workshops, networking sessions, growth programmes and partner events, creating a practical setting for organisations seeking professional event and meeting space.
