We welcome visitors to Kiplin Hall and Gardens, a historic Jacobean country house surrounded by beautiful gardens, woodland, lake and parkland in the heart of North Yorkshire. Built in the early 1620s, our Hall carries more than 400 years of stories, collections and family history, while our grounds offer a peaceful setting for exploring nature and enjoying the countryside. Our visitors can discover the historic rooms, stroll beside the lake, explore the woodland and enjoy the carefully restored Walled Garden and formal planting. The Visitor Centre and café provide a comfortable place to relax, enjoy refreshments and browse local produce. Throughout the year, we host a varied programme of exhibitions, talks, family activities, outdoor events, workshops and seasonal experiences. We also welcome pre-booked groups and guided visits for those wishing to discover more about Kiplin’s history. We aim to preserve this special place while creating enjoyable and engaging experiences for visitors of all ages, combining heritage, nature, learning and community activities in one distinctive North Yorkshire setting.
