Set in the heart of Ford Village on the Ford & Etal Estate, our historic Lady Waterford Hall offers a distinctive setting surrounded by Northumberland countryside and village character. Originally commissioned in 1860 as a school for local children, our Hall preserves an extraordinary collection of watercolour murals created by Louisa, Marchioness of Waterford, over 21 years. Today, we operate as both a museum and local village hall, welcoming visitors while also making the Hall available for private functions. We host wedding receptions, meetings, parties and community occasions, as well as annual events such as our Christmas markets. Our historic interior provides a memorable backdrop, while our outside space offers an additional area for visitors and gatherings. We aim to preserve the character and heritage of this remarkable building while keeping it connected to the local community. Whether you are visiting to discover our murals or arranging a private occasion, we offer a setting with genuine history and character.
