Paxton House

Set beside the River Tweed on the England-Scotland border, we provide a distinctive Georgian estate for weddings, private celebrations, corporate gatherings and special events. Our historic house combines elegant interiors with extensive gardens, riverside scenery and peaceful grounds, creating a memorable setting for both intimate and larger occasions. Our newly presented Ballroom provides a grand space for weddings of up to 100 guests, with high ceilings, a beautiful skylight, original artwork and a wooden floor designed for entertaining and dancing. For smaller celebrations, our Victorian Boathouse sits beside the River Tweed and accommodates up to 35 guests, offering a relaxed setting for intimate weddings and micro celebrations. We also provide flexible indoor and outdoor spaces for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, funeral teas, corporate events, filming and photoshoots. Our dedicated events manager helps clients create bespoke occasions, while our wider estate offers accommodation, gardens, woodland walks, riverside views, a tearoom and free parking, allowing guests to enjoy the character and tranquillity of Paxton House.
