We provide a versatile community and events environment at Winifred Holtby Academy in Bransholme, Hull, with a wide range of modern facilities available outside normal school hours. Our purpose-built academy includes spaces suitable for meetings, conferences, presentations, performances, training, sports and community activities. We offer a dedicated Auditorium with a documented theatre-style capacity of up to 300 people, alongside classrooms and meeting facilities for smaller groups. Our wider facilities include a four-court sports hall, swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, dance and fitness studios, drama and music spaces, a 2G all-weather pitch, grass pitches and multi-use games areas. We also provide accessible facilities, changing areas and on-site parking. Through our community lettings service, local organisations, clubs and groups can hire selected facilities during evenings, weekends and school holidays. With our combination of educational, performance, sporting and meeting spaces, Winifred Holtby Academy provides a flexible setting for a broad range of organised activities and community events.
The Auditorium is our principal large-scale performance and presentation space, providing a professional environment for conferences, assemblies, performances, presentations and other organised gatherings. The space forms part of our wider performance and community facilities and is supported by the academy's specialist technology and event infrastructure.
The Conference Room gives a dedicated setting for smaller business meetings, discussions, training sessions and presentations. It provides a more focused environment than our larger performance facilities and is suitable for organisations requiring a professional meeting space within the academy.
The Sports Hall is our large indoor sports facility, designed around a four-court layout and suitable for a variety of sporting and physical activities. It can support activities such as badminton and other indoor sports, as well as organised community and fitness sessions.
The Dance & Fitness Studios provide flexible indoor spaces for physical activity, dance, fitness classes, rehearsals and organised group sessions. Their adaptable layout makes them useful for community organisations, instructors and clubs looking for dedicated activity space.
