Tapyard

Tapyard is a converted industrial warehouse venue located within Hoults Yard in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne. The venue combines exposed brickwork, high wooden beams, industrial styling and adaptable furniture to create a non-traditional setting for private and corporate events. It is marketed for weddings, parties, corporate gatherings, club nights and live music, with the warehouse layout capable of being adapted according to the requirements of individual events. The venue's principal event environment contains a substantial stage and professional audiovisual equipment. Its current gigs information describes a large stage, professional lighting, projectors, hazers, powerful sound equipment and a green room for performers. The space can be configured for different types of live performances, from smaller acoustic performances to larger shows. For weddings and private parties, Tapyard offers an industrial-chic setting with a large bar, flexible furniture arrangements, entertainment facilities and outdoor seating in its south-facing beer yard. The venue also works with independent food vendors and external caterers rather than relying exclusively on an in-house catering operation. For corporate events, the venue provides high-speed Wi-Fi, projectors, microphones, dynamic lighting and branding opportunities.
