Wentworth Woodhouse is one of Britain's most important historic country houses and a major heritage destination in South Yorkshire. Located in the village of Wentworth between Rotherham, Sheffield and Barnsley, the property is managed by the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust, which is undertaking a major long-term restoration and regeneration programme. The house is particularly notable for its exceptionally long East Front, which the Trust describes as measuring 618 feet, making it the longest country-house façade in the UK.
Beyond its visitor attraction role, Wentworth Woodhouse operates as a distinctive corporate and private-event venue. Its State Rooms provide settings for business meetings, team days, corporate dinners and other bespoke functions. The current corporate offering includes five named spaces: the Long Gallery, Library, Low Drawing Room, Library Lounge and Panelled Room. Capacities range from 15 to 60 people for the published corporate spaces.
Our venue also offers event catering, Wi-Fi, AV equipment, free parking, access to its gardens and optional house tours. Its group-visit programme can combine tours, talks, dining and garden experiences.
Wentworth Woodhouse is therefore particularly well suited to executive meetings, corporate away days, private dining, team-building experiences, heritage events, lectures, celebrations, filming and photography.
