Magna Science Adventure Centre is one of the most distinctive large-scale event venues in the Sheffield City Region. Located in Templeborough, Rotherham, close to Sheffield, Meadowhall and the M1 motorway, the venue occupies a former steelworks and combines industrial heritage with modern conference, exhibition, entertainment and hospitality facilities. The venue's principal spaces include the enormous Big Hall, the atmospheric Red Hall, the multi-level Face of Steel, the glass-fronted Fuel, the flexible Phoenix spaces and a collection of conference rooms. The Big Hall is the flagship space, offering up to 3,500 theatre-style, 1,000 banquet or 5,000 standing capacity. It has hosted exhibitions, AGMs, product launches, banquets, festivals and large-scale entertainment events. Magna is particularly suitable for events requiring unusual surroundings and substantial floor space. It also provides in-house catering, AV support, staging, Wi-Fi, exhibition services, event planning, security and parking. For weddings, Magna can accommodate up to 800 guests per sitting, with the Big Hall providing a large-scale reception environment. The venue also offers access to the Magna Steel Experience, allowing event organisers to incorporate the site's industrial heritage into conferences, receptions and team-building activities.

An award-winning, multi-level architectural marvel built directly into the original industrial steelworks structure. Towering 30 meters high, it features large multimedia projection screens and platforms. This dramatic, gritty backdrop fits up to 750 guests for unforgettable drinks receptions, edgy corporate brand events, or unique artistic exhibitions.
Fuel is a smaller, glass-fronted event space with a terrace and views over the visitor attraction. It offers a more intimate alternative to Magna's enormous halls while retaining the site's industrial character. Its own bar makes it especially suitable for receptions, parties, VIP areas and smaller corporate functions.
The Phoenix consists of flexible event spaces positioned at the rear of the Red Hall. The spaces can be used individually or together, giving organisers flexibility for meetings, receptions, dinners and smaller corporate or social events. The venue advertises the Phoenix as capable of hosting events for up to 150 people.
Conference Room 1 is one of Magna's flexible business meeting rooms, suitable for training, presentations, meetings and smaller corporate functions. It offers natural daylight alongside projection, screen and Wi-Fi facilities. The room can also be opened with Conference Room 2 to create a larger combined conference environment.
Conference Room 2 mirrors Conference Room 1 in size and capacity and is designed for meetings, training, presentations and corporate events. It includes natural daylight, projection facilities, screen, flipchart and Wi-Fi. It can be combined with Room 1 to create a larger open-plan meeting space.
Conference Room 3 is a flexible 90 m² business event room with natural daylight and presentation facilities. It accommodates smaller conferences, training, meetings, receptions and dinners. Its flexible layout makes it useful as either a standalone meeting room or as part of Magna's wider conference and breakout-room infrastructure.
Conference Room 3A is one of Magna's smaller specialist meeting rooms. At approximately 32 m², it is designed for compact meetings, presentations, training sessions and small private functions. Its three-phase power and Wi-Fi make it useful where specialist equipment or compact production requirements are involved.
Conference Room 5 is a compact 32 m² meeting space suitable for small corporate meetings, training sessions and private events. It provides Wi-Fi, lighting and three-phase power and can be used as a standalone room or as supporting space alongside Magna's larger event areas.
Conference Room 6 is one of Magna's larger conference rooms, measuring approximately 98 m². It provides flexible layouts for meetings, training, presentations, dinners and corporate events, with natural daylight, presentation equipment and Wi-Fi. Its 100-person theatre capacity makes it useful for medium-sized conferences and seminars.
Brearley is a compact conference room designed for smaller corporate meetings, training sessions and presentations. Like Bessemer, it provides standard conference technology including projection, screen, flipchart and Wi-Fi. It can also be combined with Bessemer to create a substantially larger meeting space.
Bessemer is a compact meeting room named after the industrial heritage of the former steelworks. It is suitable for meetings, training, presentations, small dinners and private functions. The room provides air conditioning, projection, screen, flipchart, Wi-Fi and other standard conference facilities.
Hadfield is a compact meeting room suited to small corporate meetings, workshops and training sessions. It provides air conditioning, projection, screens, flipcharts and Wi-Fi, making it suitable for straightforward business events. Its smaller scale also makes it useful as a breakout room supporting larger conferences elsewhere at Magna
Huntsman is a compact conference room similar in size and capacity to Hadfield. It provides air conditioning, projection, screen, flipchart and Wi-Fi facilities and is suitable for small meetings, training, workshops and breakout activities. It can be combined with Hadfield to create a larger conference configuration.
The Newton Room is a larger dedicated meeting space measuring approximately 150 m². Its published capacity is 80 theatre-style, making it suitable for presentations, seminars, workshops and corporate meetings. The room benefits from air conditioning, projection, screen, flipchart, Wi-Fi and low-voltage lighting.
