The Cluny

The Cluny gives a distinctive live music and events setting in the heart of Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne. Housed within a former warehouse on Lime Street, our venue combines the character of the historic building with the facilities needed for contemporary performances, celebrations and private events. We operate two flexible spaces, The Cluny and Cluny 2, allowing us to accommodate different event sizes and formats. Our main venue can hold up to 300 people within its fire limit, while Cluny 2 provides capacity for up to 180 people in a semi-seated or standing arrangement. We welcome live music, parties, meetings and private functions, while Cluny 2 also works particularly well for theatre, comedy, spoken-word events and lectures. Our venue spaces and main bar are fully wheelchair accessible. We also benefit from nearby parking and strong public transport connections. Whether you are planning a performance, private celebration, meeting or cultural event, we provide a flexible and characterful Ouseburn setting.
