Segedunum Roman Fort, Baths and Museum

We are Segedunum Roman Fort, Baths and Museum, a unique heritage and events venue in Wallsend at the eastern end of Hadrian’s Wall. We combine a remarkable Roman archaeological site with a modern museum, function suite and 35-metre viewing tower overlooking the River Tyne. Our venue provides a memorable setting for conferences, meetings, training sessions, workshops, lectures, private functions, receptions and celebrations. Our self-contained function suite includes the flexible Daniels Room and the more intimate Corder Room, while our Roman Gallery offers an atmospheric setting for dinners and drinks receptions. We can also make our viewing tower available for smaller bookings and offer larger reception events across the museum. We provide projectors, flipcharts, audiovisual equipment, a PA system, catering facilities, free museum entry for delegates and free on-site parking. We also provide step-free access, lifts and accessible toilets. With our combination of Roman history, archaeological remains, museum galleries and modern event facilities, we offer an unusual and memorable alternative to a conventional conference or function venue.
