Wood Hall is the Common Room's principal large event space and one of the building's most visually distinctive rooms. The room has integrated AV facilities, presentation screens and live-streaming capabilities.
The Lecture Theatre has tiered seating and an intimate atmosphere. Historically associated with lectures and the building's engineering heritage, it is now suitable for lectures, seminars, presentations, film screenings, gigs and wedding ceremonies. Its fixed tiered arrangement makes it particularly appropriate for audience-focused events.
The Stephenson Room is a smaller, naturally lit room with views towards the street. It forms part of a suite with the Map Room and Meeting Room and can be used independently or alongside them. The space is suitable for smaller meetings, seminars, dining and intimate celebrations.
The Map Room is a flexible meeting and breakout space. It can be used for meetings and seminars or combined with the Stephenson Room and Meeting Room to create a larger self-contained event area. The room has modern presentation facilities, including a TV.
The Meeting Room is the smallest specifically capacity-rated event room currently published by The Common Room. It is designed primarily for board meetings and smaller gatherings and includes catering facilities, a wall-mounted presentation screen and soundbar. It can also be combined with the Stephenson and Map Rooms.
Full-building hire provides exclusive use of The Common Room across its three floors. This is the largest configuration and allows organisers to combine different spaces for larger conferences, exhibitions, receptions, weddings, cultural productions and multi-part events. The venue describes this option as accommodating up to 350 guests.
