Gosforth Civic Theatre

We are Gosforth Civic Theatre, an independent theatre, café bar and events venue in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. We provide flexible spaces for conferences, meetings, training, performances, celebrations and community activities. Our Theatre can accommodate up to 200 seated guests or 325 standing, while our Studio provides a private, adaptable space for up to 60 people. We also offer a welcoming café, foyer and bar, courtyard and garden, giving organisers options for indoor and outdoor activities. Our facilities include professional sound, lighting and projection equipment, digital screens, free Wi-Fi and accessible single-level spaces. We host weddings, civil ceremonies, gigs, theatre productions, workshops, networking events, parties, presentations and community programmes. For larger occasions, our exclusive building hire provides access across our spaces for up to 350 guests. As a social enterprise, our venue also supports opportunities and inclusion for young people and adults with learning disabilities, helping us create a welcoming environment for everyone.
