We are Newcastle University Students’ Union, based at King’s Road in Newcastle upon Tyne, providing a central environment for students, university activities and a wide range of community and social experiences. Our Union supports student life through spaces and services designed around participation, connection and engagement. We provide facilities within the Students’ Union building for activities, events and gatherings. Our location places us within Newcastle University’s campus environment, making us accessible to the university community and visitors attending organised activities. We support a variety of student-focused programmes, societies, campaigns and events throughout the year. Our Union continues to provide a central hub for student activities and experiences in Newcastle.
Our largest multi-purpose event hall inside the student union features an elevated main stage, dynamic sliding partitions, and a full-service 360-degree bar. It is primarily used for live music gigs, club nights, large student society events, and exhibitions.
Located on the lower levels, Luther's Bar is a vibrant social hub run in a unique franchise partnership with J D Wetherspoon. It features indoor pub seating, an extensive bar setup, and a spacious outdoor courtyard terrace heavily frequented by students.
