Carr Hall Castle is an exclusive-use private castle situated in Holywell Green near Halifax, West Yorkshire. Hidden within a secluded valley and surrounded by woodland and countryside, the property is designed as a luxurious private retreat rather than a conventional large-scale conference or wedding venue. Guests hire the entire castle, providing privacy and exclusive access to its interiors, grounds and extensive leisure facilities. The property gained national recognition after winning I Own Britain’s Best Home on Channel 5 in 2008. The castle accommodates up to 10 overnight guests across five double bedrooms, including three super-king and two king bedrooms. Its interiors include a fully equipped Miele kitchen, formal dining room, spacious living area, piano lounge and two house bathrooms with jacuzzi baths and rainfall showers. Outside the main living spaces, Carr Hall Castle offers an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub and gym. Guests can also make use of the grounds for walks and outdoor activities. Optional services include a personal chef, massage, afternoon tea, barbecue experiences and organised activities. For events, the castle promotes weddings, birthday celebrations, gender reveals, team-building days, product launches and networking events. Its strongest proposition is therefore exclusive, intimate celebrations and corporate experiences for small groups, rather than large weddings or conferences.
The Dining Room is the castle's principal formal dining space. Its main feature is a large antique mirrored dining table capable of seating up to 10 people. It is appropriate for private dining, celebratory meals, small corporate dinners and intimate special occasions.
The large living area provides comfortable seating for the castle's guests and is designed as a relaxed social space. It can be used for informal gatherings, conversations, celebrations and post-dinner entertaining. Its comfortable seating and connection to the castle's other communal areas make it an important part of the exclusive-use experience.
The Piano Lounge provides a more intimate entertainment area centred around the castle's grand piano and open fireplace. It is suited to evening relaxation, informal entertainment and small private gatherings. Logs are provided for the fireplace during stays.
The castle has a fully equipped Miele kitchen, allowing guests to prepare meals independently or arrange additional catering. A personal-chef service is also available for guests wanting a professionally prepared private dining experience.

Our Lakeside patio area features enough Rattan furniture to seat the whole family, with plenty of luxurious cushions for extra comfort. On early evenings, guests can light our very own Chiminea and watch the sun set, kiln dried logs are in plentiful supply.
