The Biosphere

At the heart of Newcastle Helix, we provide a specialist environment where life science businesses, innovators, researchers and partners can meet, collaborate and develop ideas. Our building combines high-quality laboratories, Grade A offices, conference facilities, meeting spaces and a social mezzanine across five floors. For meetings and events, we can accommodate up to 80 people, with a selection of meeting rooms, lounge spaces and a large flat meeting room. Our spaces are equipped with SMART whiteboards and large screens to support presentations, collaboration and knowledge sharing. We also provide catering and hospitality, secure cycle storage, shower facilities, managed ICT services and on-site support. Beyond our event facilities, we form part of Newcastle's growing life science and innovation community, supporting connections between businesses, academia and the wider sector. Our meeting and event facilities provide a practical setting for conferences, business meetings, networking, meet-ups, accelerator programmes and collaborative activities.
