Alnwick Castle is a spectacular medieval castle and major heritage attraction in the heart of Northumberland. The Guest Hall is a premier indoor venue refurbished to balance historic grandeur with modern event luxury. Featuring magnificent 19th-century vaulted timber ceilings, stone walls, and bespoke lighting, it hosts up to 180 guests for seated banquets, weddings, and conferences. It includes its own dedicated bar.

The enclosed 13th-century monastery ruins feature beautifully restored stone archways and manicured lawns, making it a breathtaking, secluded choice for marquee weddings, upscale parties, and corporate retreats.
The breathtaking, double-height Library holds over 14,000 historic books. It features cozy reading areas, an elaborate fireplace, and a deeply carved decorative wood ceiling crafted by the local Alnwick School of Carving in the 1850s.
The Drawing Room showcases the heights of Italian Renaissance interior style. Its walls are lined with dramatic red silk, a massive central chandelier, and gold gilded frames showcasing rare Italian Old Masters paintings.
Famously used as a filming location for Downton Abbey, the State Dining Room centers around a massive long banquet table. It features rich green walls covered in masterwork portraits and a towering, intricately carved white marble fireplace.
Located immediately behind the grand oak front doors of the castle keep, the Lower Guard Chamber features exceptionally thick medieval stone walls. It is styled with dramatic wood panelling, a monumental stone fireplace, and arrays of historic armor, muskets, swords, and military equipment neatly decorating the walls.
At the top of the Grand Staircase sits the Upper Guard Chamber, designed in the style of a 16th-century Roman palace. This breathtaking room acts as a transition into the luxury of the State Rooms, showcasing a highly detailed geometric mosaic floor design, classical marble statues tucked into wall alcoves, grand chandeliers, and towering historic paintings.
The castle grounds include the Inner and Outer Bailey, medieval courtyards, battlements, Gun Terrace and landscaped areas. These spaces are heavily used for the castle's visitor programme and special events, while private-use arrangements depend on the nature of the booking.
