Hull Truck Theatre is a professional performing-arts venue and creative hub located on Ferensway in central Hull. The theatre has a strong focus on producing and presenting contemporary theatre while also providing space and support for artists, communities and creative organisations. Alongside its public performance programme, the building is available for conferences, meetings, exhibitions, corporate events, workshops, rehearsals and other private or professional gatherings. The venue offers two principal theatre spaces: Stage 1, the larger auditorium, and the Godber Studio, a smaller flexible theatre. The venue-hire service also provides a rehearsal room, Inter@ct Suite, foyer areas and a meeting room, allowing events to be matched to different group sizes and formats. Stage 1 accommodates approximately 426–429 people, while Godber Studio accommodates 135. Event packages can include front-of-house staffing, technical support, standard lighting, PA equipment, microphones, lecterns and projection facilities. Additional technical equipment can be arranged at extra cost. The theatre also provides catering through its local partner, Shoot the Bull, as well as a café bar, free Wi-Fi, accessible toilets, wheelchair spaces, baby-changing facilities, sensory resources and lift access. Secure parking is available at St Stephen's multi-storey car park immediately beside the theatre.
Stage 1 is Hull Truck Theatre's principal auditorium and largest event space. It is a professionally equipped theatre suitable for performances, conferences, lectures, presentations, comedy, screenings, corporate events and large community gatherings. The auditorium has tiered seating, a professional stage and dedicated technical infrastructure, with wheelchair spaces and accessible routes.
Godber Studio is Hull Truck Theatre's smaller theatre space, offering a more intimate environment for performances, workshops, talks, screenings, rehearsals and smaller corporate or community events. It has tiered seating and a dedicated performance area, while its smaller scale makes it suitable for events where audience proximity and interaction are important.
The Rehearsal Room is a flexible creative space intended primarily for rehearsals, workshops, training and participatory activities. It can also be used for smaller private events where a theatre auditorium is unnecessary. Hull Truck Theatre currently lists the room as part of its venue-hire offering but does not publish a standard maximum capacity.
The First Floor Foyer is a flexible front-of-house area that can support receptions, networking, exhibition activity, refreshments and event circulation.
The Inter@ct Suite is a flexible learning and community space within Hull Truck Theatre. It is used for workshops, educational programmes, participatory theatre and smaller activities. Current programming shows the space being used for children's theatre and creative-learning events.
Hull Truck Theatre's café bar is operated by Shoot the Bull, its local catering partner. It provides food, drinks and bar services and can support private events through the theatre's bespoke catering arrange
The Meeting Room is the smallest dedicated business-oriented space listed within Hull Truck Theatre's venue-hire portfolio. It is designed for meetings and small-group activities rather than theatrical performances.
